Yesterday afternoon, after picking up Spencer from school, we had to take a different route due to a road closure and ended up driving by a wooded area. Spencer commented on the wooded area and asked if this was a forest and wondered about what animals might be in the woods. Andrew then decided to participate in the conversation and said: "When I was a bear for one day" (where did that come from?), but was immediately cut off by Spencer who told him in no uncertain terms that Andrew had never been a bear in the past. Of course Andrew insisted that yes, he had been a bear before, but was upset that his story was being challenged, so he refused to tell me what he had experienced in his life as a bear. He finally relented the next day when I asked him again and he told me that he had 2 baby bears when he was a bear for a day and they needed milk, so he came out of the woods, asked his mom for milk and then went back to give the milk to his baby bears. End of story.
